- What is QQQTimingSignals.com?
QQQTimingSignals.com is a market timing service website that uses a strictly mechanical approach to market timing based on timing signals generated by our computer model. The details of the model are proprietary but the results which are graphically shown at Home and listed at Trade history are compelling and the main reason we decided to create this site.
- How does the QQQTimingSignals trading system work?
QQQTimingSignals uses a computer model to generate timing signals which will be either "LONG", "SHORT" or "CASH". These signals indicate our current position with respect to the QQQQ's. Current signals are posted to the Members webpage daily and should be available to members by 8PM ET. If the current signal posted to the website has just changed, the next day when the market opens, we would adjust our position of the QQQQ's as follows: If the posted signal had just changed to "LONG", we would execute a trade to make our QQQQ position 100% "LONG" ie. we would "buy" the QQQQ's. If the posted signal had just changed to "SHORT", we would execute a trade to make our QQQQ position 100% "SHORT" ie. we would "sell short" the QQQQ's and if the posted signal had just changed to "CASH" we would execute a trade to liquidate our QQQQ position to 100% cash.
- Why use the QQQQ as the trading vehicle?
The QQQQ is an Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) that trades just like a stock - it tracks the performance of the Nasdaq-100 index. Since, it's performance is based on an index, each share has built-in diversification. Also, it tends to be volatile which makes it attractive as a trading stock. And, relative to most other stocks, it's daily volumes tend to be very large which helps keep trading spreads small.
- Using QQQTimingSignals, how often do you trade?
The best way to guage that would be to look at the Trade history webpage. On average, there are about 5 trades per year.
- Where can I find a list of all past trades and results?
The current and most recent trades are available to members at the Members webpage. The rest of the trades are listed at the Trade history webpage.
- Do the results listed include commissions or margin trading?
No. The results listed at the Trade history and Members webpages do not include commissions and were not obtained by margin trading.
- How risky is this trading system?
Stock trading is risky and not suitable for all investors. Please see the Terms/Join webpage for a full Risk Disclosure.
- What is the date range of the back-tested data and on what date did the actual signals posted on your website start?
Although the model and back-testing were completed back in August 2002, the site has only been open and posting real-time "live" results since August, 2003.
- What should I do if I join in the middle of a trade?
We trade the signals also, and we would normally use dollar-cost-averaging to open a position in the middle of a trade or just wait for the next signal.
- How are subscribers notified of a signal change?
Currently, subscribers are not notified but must check the Members webpage daily after 8PM to determine if there has been a signal change.
